Two cutting properties in the same stone

Tormek's Original grindstones differ from ordinary grindstones in more ways than one. The stone's unique composition, together with the stone adjuster SP-650, gives you two cutting properties in one and the same stone. The stone adjuster prepares the surface of the grindstone from its normal 220 grains to give a surface corresponding to a 1000 grain grindstone. This is a great advantage, because you can do the fine grinding with the same setting of the jig as with the first shaping * of the tool.
