The KAI Shun Minamo series consists of 3 knives and is an exquisitely elegant addition to the KAI Shun Premier series. The series combines Japanese and European elements in an exquisite way. The series is characterized by a black handle in packaged wood and a specially designed knife blade in the very hard special steel VG-MAX (61 HRC), wrapped in 32 layers of beautiful damask steel with a beautiful pattern. The name of the series derives from this fine pattern, which is reminiscent of a water surface in rain (Jap .: Minamo). The KAI Shun Premier Minamo series won the Reddot Design Award 2018 and the German Design Award 2019.
