Chinese chef's knife is the Chinese's utility knife and is characterized by the knife's wide blades which give the knife power and precision. Can be used for everything from shredding cabbage, cutting eggplant, melon and tomato or dividing into smaller pieces of meat. The wide blade is also ideal for scooping up prepared ingredients and transferring them to the pot or frying pan. The Chinese chef's knife should not be confused with the cleaver that has the same shape. This knife has a thinner blade that should not be used on bones, hard fruits, coconuts, etc. Then you should instead use a cleaver or a butcher knife.

The knives in the Chroma Type 301 series are made of type 301 Japanese steel, better known as the AUS-6 knife steel, with a hardness of 59 HRC. The sharpening angle of the blade is 15 degrees, which results in an extremely sharp knife. The blade and the steel shaft are integrated into each other. The metal bead on each side of the knife marks where the shaft ends and also gives you a superb thumb / forefinger grip.
