Chef's knife 20 cm from the classic French knife manufacturer Sabatier. This is the carbon steel variant of this classic knife. This knife has become some kind of definition of a "French chef's knife". French-style knives are thinner, shorter and sharper than their German counterparts and have a straighter shape. This gives a slightly lighter and faster knife. The feeling of precision and control is the reason why many professional chefs choose French knives over German.
The chef's knife is the workhorse in the kitchen and the knife most often used. An indispensable versatile kitchen knife that can be used to chop, cut, slice and dice.
Sabatier is one of Europe's most famous knife brands and this particular series, Sabatier K, is considered one of the two original Sabatier manufacturers. The knife is forged by hand from a piece of 6166 carbon steel with a hardness of 54-56 HRC. In the hand, the knife feels very robust and stable and the handle is of a design that has been proven to perfection in French kitchens.

Choose between three different sizes: 20 cm, 23 cm or 25 cm blade length.
Note: These knives are produced from high quality carbon steel. The carbon steel wants to become dull over time and get a patina, which is proof of real carbon steel. The patina will not affect the properties of the blade. For best results, the knife should be hand washed and immediately dried completely dry. The knife must absolutely not be machine washed! If the knife is not handled correctly, it will rust. Feel free to use camel oil to protect the knife from moisture and to dissolve any corrosion attacks.
