This Kiritsuke has a really long and powerful blade that is perfect for cutting long and nice slices of, for example, fish or meat. Kiritsuke is a type of long chef's knife with a tanto-profile tip that gives the knife a unique and eye-catching aesthetic.
Satake Ame is a beautiful series of knives with power, strength, balance and tradition as keywords in the design. The name Ame is Japanese and means rain, something that the magazine's design has inspired. The blade's "Rain Pattern" is not only beautiful to the eye but also means that raw materials such as potatoes are not sucked onto the blade side when cutting.
- 23 cm Kiritsuke
- Hand-tapped blade of 5 layers of AUS10 steel
- The hardness of the blade is 60-61 HRC
- Bolster & end piece in stainless steel
- Incredibly beautiful handle of Vril * from, among other things, larch, peach tree, camphor & maple
(NOTE! All handles are completely unique, and image must be seen as an example only)
* Vril - or masur as it is also called, is an outgrowth on a tree where the fibers go in different directions instead of vertically. Vril / Masurvirke is much sought after because it is incredibly beautiful and harder than ordinary wood.
