A Deba Splitting Knife looks like a Santoku, but the knife blade is thicker (4.0 mm) to withstand splitting thin bones such as fish bones and thin chicken bones. A common knife in Japanese homes used primarily for fish and chicken.

Knives in the Arcos Universal series are designed with daily use in mind. The blades of the knives are made of Arco's own NITRIUM® steel, which is a stainless and hardened formula enriched with nitrogen for extra hardness and long-lasting sharpness. The handles are made of polyoxymethylene (POM) and are very resistant to impact, wear and solvents and are able to withstand high and low temperatures between -40 to 150ºC. The rivets are made of stainless steel with extremely high corrosion resistance. The blade has dimples or cult grinding as it is also called, which means that what you cut should not get stuck on the knife.

The knives are NSF-certified to meet the requirements for hygiene and food safety. The handles are treated with the antibacterial system Bactiproof Silver, which reduces the presence of bacteria, fungi and mold by 99.9%.

10 year warranty on material and production defects.
